JAIME MALDONADO​

Jaime Maldonado is the Scientific Marketing Unit at HIPRA.

He is in charge of supervision of field studies related to vaccination and its effect on clinical and productive parameters in various animal species. He studied veterinary medicine in the Universidad Nacional, Bogotá (Colombia).

He is diplomate by the ECPHM and also, he has a Certificate in Advanced studies (DEA) by UAB. Jaime completed his studies with a MSc Laboratory Animal Science and Welfare, University of London, London, UK.

He has Extensive experience in the diagnosis of infectious diseases in farm animals, both by conventional and molecular laboratory methods.

LUIS PINHO

Graduated in Veterinary Medicine in 2003 by the Institute of Biomedical Sciences of Abel Salazar of the University of Porto (ICBAS-UP) and doctorate in Veterinary Sciences in 2012 by the same institution.

In 2003 he joined SVAExpleite, Ldª as a member of the clinical staff and a consultant in the area of Milk Quality.

He is a guest lecturer in the Department of Veterinary Clinics at ICBAS-UP. From 2011 to 2017 he was President of the Portuguese Council for Health of the Udder. He has been a member of the European Mastitis Panel since 2012.

ORIOL FRANQUESA

Consultant vet with 20 years of experience in milk quality (Q-LLET), Spain.

Qualified with a degree in Veterinary Medicine from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB) in 1999 and further specialized in Udder health and management with a masters in “Advisement and Management of Dairy Cattle Farms” from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB) in 2004.

RAFAEL ORTEGA

Rafael Ortega has over 20 years’ experience in Milk Quality.

He has a degree in Veterinary Science from the Veterinary Faculty in Córdoba (Spain) and is a member of various specialist groups such as the National Mastitis Council or the Milking Machine Committee.

He has participated in numerous research projects and also on different technical publications on milk quality, most notably the book entitled “Guia solomamitis del asesor en calidad de leche” [Solomamitis guide for the milk quality consultant] which he co-wrote with 4 European colleagues, and which was issued in 2016.

He is currently responsible for the Regional Technical Services Ruminants Business Unit at HIPRA for Brazil, Uruguay and Argentina.
